Thanksgiving

There's a familiar image, from the Four Freedoms series that Norman Rockwell painted in 1943. This one is Freedom from Want, and it's often reprinted at Thanksgiving.

I remember family dinners like that, with several generations gathered at the table. We were thankful to be together, to enjoy the food and tell our news, and to remember those no longer with us.

Three classmates sent in those clever Jacquie Lawson animated greeting cards, all celebrating Thanksgiving. From Harriett and Rom Sidoli, there's a turkey; from DeeDee and Clay Wood, a pumpkin pie; and from Diane and Al Urbanckas, a homecoming. Thanks everyone, for sharing.

Wherever you are, we hope you have a happy and peaceful holiday.

Will, how very thoughtful of you to share our Lawson cards (Thanksgiving) with all the 58-ers! Thanks! And let me be amongst the first to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas!

Here are some beautiful, artistic Thanksgiving ecards, including some from Jacquie Lawson and one ecard with a woman preparing a Thanksgiving dinner.

To Will and all 58ers,

Happy Thanksgiving and don't let anyone mow you down on Black Friday. This year I'm very thankful for a brand new knee and that I'm going through PT like gangbusters. I hope everyone has a great day.
