Hi Will,

Saturday was the Remembrance Event here in Springfield for Marcia Ruzes Maisenbacher's daughter, Monica. It was held at the Press Club at Lake Springfield and was very well attended. There were many people that we didn't know, although CE seemed to know everyone. It was a beautiful day weather wise, which was good. Marcia had told me that she and Monica hated funerals and so a Remembrance Event is what Monica wanted and Marcia, too.

Our classmates who attended were: CE Welch and Jolene, Ron Wilson and Rita, Keith Schnepp, Carolyn Baldwin Quinlan, myself, Roy Borg, Linda Bradley Wilson Cozzolino and her two children with Gary Wilson, Grant and Kelly. Grant is the spitting image of Gary, although several inches taller. Same eyes, complexion, hair. Uncanny when we first saw him. Kelly has dark red hair but doesn't look like either Gary or LInda.

Now, for a piece of trivia that we learned that amazed us all: Marcia Ruzes Maisenbacher is Linda Bradley Cozzolino's aunt! We went to grade school, high school together all those years, but it didn't happen until Marcia married Jerry Maisenbacher. Linda's mother's youngest sibling was Jerry Maisenbacher, thus Linda's uncle and when Marcia married Jerry, she became LInda's aunt! There were nine children in the family with the oldest child being 30 years older than the youngest one, Jerry. And I guess most people will remember that Ron Wilson and Gary Wilson were cousins.

Although it may seem strange to say this of a memorial gathering, we all had a good time chatting and the whole atmosphere was one of fun and friendship. Marcia seemed very pleased with how it turned out.

Just wanted to give you an update.
