Jo's Trip to Nova Scotia

Jo Ankeny Lindamood recently traveled to Nova Scotia, where she found the perfect man: "tall, prepared for the weather, and he doesn't talk back."

She writes that the trip was awesome and far too short. A memorable stop was at Peggy's Cove, where it's hard to take a bad photo:

The trip was a 65th birthday present to herself. May there be many more adventures in years to come!

Diane's De-Liar

Diane Gurgens Urbanckas and her husband, Al Urbanckas, are dedicated to the fine art of fishery. They live on Lake Springfield but also take fishing vacations in nearby states, from Missouri to Wisconsin.

I can't remember if Al built this "De-Liar" to keep her honest, or if Diane built it to prove that her fish are often bigger.

At any rate, they have a good time, but I have not been able to interview the fish to see what they think about this Piscatorial Pair.

If you have pictures to share with the class, please send them to me.

New Home for News

Greetings, All. I am running the class news page out of a new site, Blogger.com, where it's easier to edit text and also include pictures. This page will be experimental until I get comfortable with the system.

Let's see how I do with adding a picture. Here's a nice watercolor of the entrance to SHS:

I just edited this picture a bit and now have added some text to see how it looks. If you think the type size is too small, your browser should have a way to increase type size.

This template is the second I have tried. Send me comments?

PS. If you'd like to become a contributor to the page, let me know. It's easy if you have the time!
